UPCOMING PROFESSIONAL GROWTH DAY
Just a reminder that Monday, September 22nd is Professional Growth Day. It is a non-student day at school. Teachers will be engaged in professional learning around the Common Core Math Standards with Mark Alcorn, SDCOE Math Trainer.

Family Portrait Night ~ BACK BY POPULAR DEMAND!
Family Portrait Night with Janet Bark Photography is back! Take portraits with the whole family, siblings or even your best friend!! Portraits will be ready in time to order holiday cards. Family Portrait Night will be October 16th from 3 to 8PM in the MPR. The sitting fee is $30 with $20 going back to the PTA!! If you would like to have an outdoor setting the fee is $60. SCHOLASTIC BOOK FAIR
Everyone's favorite book fair is coming soon to a castle near you!! This year's theme is medieval times. We will be in need of some charming princesses and knights to volunteer with this fun event which runs from Monday, 10/13, until Friday, 10/17. More information to come!!

THE REFLECTIONS PROGRAM: THE WORLD WOULD BE A BETTER PLACE IF…
The Reflections program is a national arts recognition and achievement program for students. The 2014-2015 Reflections’ theme is “The world would be a better place if….” The deadline for Reflections submissions is October 16th. Complete guidelines will be available in the school’s front lobby. Find out more information about this program in the flyer that was sent home with your child on Friday.

BOXTOPS CONTEST-
Everyone’s favorite Boxtops contest has started! Help your Grizzly win an Otter Pop party for his or her class while helping the PTA raise money for the school. Information for this was sent home last week. Also, this week your Grizzly will bring home a Free Money flyer and Ralphs’ scan-bar with easy instructions on how to raise money for our school. KINDERGARDEN TRANSITION DAYS-
Just a reminder that Kindergarten transition days will end this Friday, Sept. 26th. The first full day of Kindergarten will be on Sept. 29th with a release time of 3:20 p.m.

The PTA would like to thank all who participated in the Mixed Bag Fundraiser! We cannot run this PTA without your help. Thank you so much!

Movie Night
